Moooi is a Dutch design brand known for its theatrical, poetic, and provocative approach to design. My collaboration with the brand focused on two highly stylized behind-the-scenes films: one documenting the making of Maarten Baas’ Smoke Chair, and another filmed at Royal Delft for The Killing of the Piggy Bank.
Both films approached process as performance. Through atmosphere, rhythm, gesture, and visual tension, the work transformed the act of making into a cinematic story — revealing not only how the objects were produced, but the emotional and symbolic world surrounding them.
